This EFL Development Programme is available to anyone looking to improve their English skills, but it is designed primarily to support overseas dental nurse trainees who may struggle with the NEBDN course content and assessments due to language barriers. As the NEBDN written exams and OSCE assessments are conducted in English, our experienced tutors provide personalised one-to-one or group support to help learners better understand dental terminology, course content, and communication skills at a slower and more supportive pace. Sessions focus on speaking, listening, reading, writing, pronunciation, grammar, and professional communication to help students build confidence and succeed in both their studies and practical assessments. Lessons can also be booked independently, allowing learners to focus on specific topics or areas they find more challenging. This is available only online.

Existing trainees enrolled on our Dental Nursing courses can request additional EFL support directly through their tutors so that lessons can be tailored alongside their current dental nursing content and learning needs. For external learners, simply book a session and a member of staff will contact you to arrange your initial appointment. The first session will be a one-to-one needs analysis designed to assess your current level, identify areas for improvement, and understand your learning goals so we can provide the most suitable support.
